This Privacy Policy explains how EpiPreg (“EpiPreg,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the EpiPreg mobile application and this website (the “Service”).
Information you provide: account details (email); your pregnancy profile (due date or week, whether it's your first pregnancy, dietary preferences, optional conditions and allergies you choose to enter); and your activity (items you scan or ask about, things you log, and questions you ask).
Collected automatically: usage and device data (app interactions, app version, device type and OS, diagnostic/crash data) and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.
Camera, photos, and voice: if you use the camera or microphone to ask a question, the image or audio is processed to identify the item or interpret your request and is then discarded, unless you explicitly save it.
To provide and personalize the Service; to maintain, secure, and improve it and measure feature usage; to communicate with you about your account and, with your consent, optional notifications; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information to make medical decisions for you.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs.
Pregnancy and reproductive-health information is sensitive, and we treat it with heightened protection: it is encrypted, access is restricted, it is never sold or used for advertising, and it is retained only as long as needed. Where laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act or the EU GDPR apply, we obtain the consent those laws require and honor the associated rights.
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or use “delete everything,” we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, security, or accounting obligations.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of a breach as required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these in-app (Settings) or by contacting us at privacy@epipreg.com. You may also control notification and camera/microphone permissions in your device settings.
The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region).
If you use the Service outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries, with appropriate safeguards where required.
We may update this Policy. We will post the new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as in-app).
